Inmate texting apps are the best way to stay in touch with a friend or relative who is currently in prison. These apps are designed to comply with prison regulations and permit family and friends to send messages, photos video calls, eCards and money to their trust accounts at prison. There are additional federal inmate apps that provide additional services, such as video visits and phone calls.
JPay, for example allows family and contactmeasap.com friends to send money directly to an inmate's trust account, as well as videos, photos, emails and electronic cards. It also lets them create personal postcards using photos of their own. It's also a safer and more secure alternative to traditional mail.
Another popular inmate text app is GettingOut, which offers "simple and reliable communication" between inmates and their loved ones. The application is available at select correctional facilities and allows inmates to upload photos and send messages to family and friends via their tablets. Inmates pay $0.25 per message, and their loved ones pay cost of data to access them (but they are not explicit images). You can also make use of the GettingOut app to post photos on Facebook or Foursquare and check-in on Foursquare and then add a video to the YouTube upload.
